If you like films you should try to get out and enjoy the Gasparilla Film Festival which is starting Wednesday, March 27. The opening night and reception is at the Tampa Theater and starts at 6:00 PM. Kabluey, by Tampa native Jeff Balis, will open the festival. It starts at 8:00 PM.

There really are some interesting films. If you think that film festivals only show arty, esoteric movies you should look at the list of showings. I bet you can find at least one thing that you will like that you would not have had the opportunity to see without this event. You can buy tickets for each movie in the Gasparilla Film Festival online. Or you can purchase a special package. Here are the options available:
