A recent article on TBO.com sings the praises of Howard Avenue and proclaims the abundant choices of restaurants to be found in the area. Sure, there are probably more here than in the rest of the city but that’s not saying much about a location that is known for being the birthplace and incubator of chain establishments. Maybe they don’t know an ale from a lager but at least someone in south Tampa is getting (somewhat) adventuresome with beer. SideBern’s is hosting a Beer & BBQ series over the next four months and the first one, Thursday June 5, will feature Brooklyn Brewery. The beers will be paired with grilled, house-made sausages, charred farm vegetables, roasted sweet peppers and a Macadamia nut banana split.
