Gasparilla Film Festival
The Gasparilla Film Festival is taking place next month, from February 27 to March 2. John Rosser is the Executive Director and lives in the neighborhood. Find out more from one of their press releases:
“Join actress Brittany Snow, anchor woman Wendy Ryan, celebrities and film lovers for the 2008 Gasparilla Film Festival (GFF). GFF is Tampa Bay’s largest independent film festival and is operated by the Tampa Film Institute, a 501 © 3 organization dedicated to advancing film education and community involvement in film within the Tampa Bay area.
This year, the Gasparilla Film festival will showcase feature films from nine different countries, including Argentina, China, Croatia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Lebanon, Philippines, and South Africa. In addition, the festival will hosts several social events throughout the city, including a opening night ceremony and closing night awards gala featuring actress Brittany Snow and anchorwoman Wendy Ryan.
The 2008 Gasparilla Film Festival is scheduled for Wednesday, February 27th- Sunday, March 2nd at the historic Tampa Theatre, Channelside Theatres, Ybor City, and the Florida Aquarium. More details and ticket info can be found at www.gasparillafilmfestival.com. “
