USF opens their season Saturday night against Tennessee-Martin at Raymond James Stadium. The game starts 7:00 p.m. This is one of the best deals around for college football. The Bulls are a local top 20 team that you can still afford to take the family to see play. They’re a great story for Tampa and fun to watch.
Labor Day Luau
Sunday, Aug. 31
A Labor Day party at Crabby Bill’s in Tampa (7700 Courtney Campbell Parkway). I’ve heard this place gets packed on the weekends so it should be nuts for this event. Here are some pictures from a recent summer party at Crabby Bill’s. It’s from 1:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Labor Day Picnic Celebration
Monday, Sept. 1
A picnic at the Florida State Fairgrounds. There will be a classic car and motorcycle show, carnival rides, and vendors. There willalso be an Ironman competition. The event is hosted by the West Central Florida Federation of Labor. Admission is free.
