Movie By The River
The Tampa Theatre will be showing The Wizard of Oz on Saturday, May 17 at Cotanchobee Park on the Hillsborough River. Gates open at 6:15 P.M. and the movie starts at 8:15. Popcorn, soft drinks, bottled water, candy, frisbees and picnic blankets will be on sale.
Before the main show, the works of Tampa Theatre’s Let’s Make Movies Digital Filmmaking Summer Camp and The Tampa Film Review will be presented. Sales from the event go to the theater’s artistic and educational programming. The showing is part of their Sunset Cinema series, which shows outdoor movies at different locations around the Tampa area.
