Restaurant Week

Tired of the same choices at your favorite restaurant? Or maybe you want to try someplace new. Here’s your chance. Creative Loafing is sponsoring Restaurant Week from June 12 through June 18. Participating restaurants will offer a $25 prix fixe dinner which include 3 or more courses.

There are 21 restaurants hosting the special menu, including quite a few in the South Tampa and Downtown areas:

Bella’s Italian Cafe
Fly Bar and Restaurant
Mad Dogs And Englishmen
Mise En Place
Wine Exchange
Grillsmith
Cheap

We go to Bella’s quite a bit because it’s so convenient and I have to admit that I get a little bored with the choices. Especially since they took the mussels off the menu. So it would be interesting to see what they will offer for this event. Hopefully they will have a seafood or vegetarian choice available. I haven’t been to Mise En Place in ages, so this would be a good time to try them out again.

The only problem is that a three course meal sounds big, depending on the portions. Throw in a bottle of wine and it would make a nice lighter meal for two, though.

Restaurant Week will coincide with the Creative Loafing Annual Food issue, which is scheduled for June 11.
