If you have an extra $2.3 million and you’re in the market for a new house, you might be interested in this. The house designed for Isaac Maas, a founder of the Maas Brothers Department Stores is for sale. It’s on the corner of Edison and Bayshore Boulevard. Designed by architect Franklin O. Adams, the house was built in 1923.
Maas and his brother Abe came to Tampa from Dolgesheim, Germany in the 1870s. Shortly after starting Maas Brothers, they moved the business to the Krause Building at Franklin and Zack.

I hope it was more “restored” than “updated”. Usually when a realtor says “updated” that means a historic aspect was destroyed. I’d love to take a tour of this house.
