Then And Now
Hyde Park has been around for over a hundred years and it’s interesting to look back over the years and see how it has changed. A great way to do this is with historical photograph collections from photographers like the Burger Brothers and Robertson and Fresh.
I’ve added an album in the gallery called Then And Now that has an old photograph and a new one of a Hyde Park building. As I add to it, I’ll try to post whatever information that I can find out about it.
This one is an apartment building at 509 South Albany. You can see how the structure is, for the most part, in tact, but the brick has been covered with stucco. I don’t know when the structure was built but it looks fairly new and the picture was taken on February 22, 1926.
