Smoke Barbecue & Grill

I’ve been hearing a lot about the new place by local restaurateur Gordon Davis. He hinted at something like this when he sold St. Bart’s, and now he has followed through with Smoke Barbecue at 901 Platt Street. The building has gone through some tenets since it was a gas station.

For a while there was a car wash business with a smoker out front. They’ve really done a good job with the place and it looks to be gaining in popularity.

Davis has some of his past partners with him at the new place as well as his son Gene. The menu is extensive and includes pork shoulder and pork ribs, brisket, sugar glazed corned beef, Hawaiian rotisserie chicken and kabobs. Some seafood options are fried catfish, grilled salmon, shrimp, trout, and scallops.
