There’s been a couple of incidents lately that residents should be aware of. Last week a man was walking his dog on Richardson Avenue when he was approached by two men who then pistol whipped him in a robbery attempt. I frequently walk my dogs at night in the neighborhood and it has never crossed my mind that I should watch out for something like this.

On Wednesday, there was another attempted robbery on Hills Avenue and the suspect was chased by a resident. Several police cars responded and searched for the man, including a police helicopter and a K-9 unit. The man who chased the suspect said that he hid under a house and fled after the police left. This happened around midnight.

I wouldn’t say that this is something to be alarmed about but it should give you reason to be a little bit more cautious when out at night.
