Saturday Mornings With Lucy
I found this Tampa blog recently. It’s called Saturday Mornings With Lucy and is written by Lucy Beebe Tobias. She writes about her travels and experiences in Florida and although she usually posts two or three times a month, her writings are more in depth (and better) than the average blog. This post about DeLeon Springs State State Park is a good example.
She’s also an author and her book, 50 Great Walks in Florida, was just published in February 2008. Here’s a description from the book site:
“A Great Walk is a short but significant jaunt where you learn new things, get some exercise and are done in time for lunch. The state is divided into five sections (like the state park maps) and each section has a walk in a botanical garden, a walk near a beach, wetlands or lake, a historic walk, nature walk and a surprise - like walking with turtle groups at night to see Loggerhead turtles lay their eggs.”
