South Tampa Photo Contest
The Tampa Tribune is sponsoring the Best of South Tampa Photo Contest which is accepting entriens until July 18. To enter, upload your images to the Tampa Tribune photo gallery oe emailing them to jpilarczyk@tampatrib.com. You can find the official rules and description on their site.
Before you get too excited, the prize is two beach chairs and a cooler. Yeah, you read it right. I guess you really know that newspapers are hurting when they have to rummage around in the closet for a contest prize. Here’s something funny. Look at rule number 11 under “Prizes”:
“All federal, state and other taxes relating to any prize, and any travel, or other expenses relating to any prize, are the sole responsibility of the winners.”
I guess what they’re trying to say is that don’t try to stick them for the gas bill when you drive down to the station to pick up your beach chairs.
